Production Planning Support Engineer
Anglian Water ServicesSupport the planning of water supply operations by monitoring constraints and collaborating with teams. Ensure accurate, actionable production plans for effective water delivery.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Gather and monitor dynamic operational constraints such as demand, asset availability, water quality and abstraction limits
- Support the development and delivery of accurate, actionable production plans across multiple timescales
- Act as a super-user of production planning tools, ensuring data is accurate and up to date
- Monitor KPIs and system performance, identifying potential deviations and risks
- Investigate issues, support root cause analysis and help implement mitigations
- Work closely with operational teams to communicate plans and respond to changing conditions
- Contribute to continuous improvement of planning tools, processes and data quality
- Support maintenance and capital delivery by contributing to operational impact planning
- Build strong relationships across Water Services, Asset Health, Water Resources and wider stakeholders
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience in an operational or engineering role, ideally within the water industry
- Strong understanding of water treatment and distribution processes
- Knowledge of hydraulic principles
- Confident using complex software, data tools or models (e.g. hydraulic or planning tools)
- Experience working with operational stakeholders and influencing decisions
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- A relevant qualification or equivalent experience in engineering, science or data-related fields (desirable)
