Traffic Technician
AMT EngineeringTraffic Technician joining Traffic Engineering team at AMT in Maryland, performing traffic counting and surveys. Equipment maintenance and site visits required with potential regional travel.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Install and retrieve intrusive (rubber tubes) and non-intrusive (video cameras) traffic counting equipment.
- Perform site visits to document conditions.
- Perform manual vehicle-occupancy counts and parking surveys.
- Maintain equipment and coordinate repairs as needed.
- Must be willing to travel regionally within MD, WV, VA, and NC.
- Night Work may occasionally be required.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 0-5 years’ experience, willing to train.
- Must have clean driving record.
- Must pass background check.
- Must be capable of lifting 50 lbs. of equipment.
- Must be capable of performing outdoor work that requires physical strength and stamina to endure extreme heat, cold and other conditions.
- Required to run, stop, kneel, and crouch at job sites.
- Computer / Microsoft Office savvy.
