About the role

  • Collect and analyze various socio-environmental data, integrating physical aspects (soils, sediments, water, and effluents).
  • Process and critically analyze chemical analysis data in light of current environmental legislation.
  • Use geoprocessing tools and statistical analysis for organizing, interpreting, and presenting data;
  • Support compliance with environmental legal and regulatory requirements, assisting the company and clients in interactions with regulatory agencies;
  • Provide technical advisory in meetings with clients, external consultants, and representatives of environmental agencies;
  • Assist in organizing and supervising field and laboratory activities, ensuring quality and adherence to technical procedures;
  • Participate in site inspections, audits, and environmental surveys to assess impacts and propose mitigation measures;
  • Collaborate on environmental, social, and economic surveys and various diagnostics, when applicable to the company's socio-environmental studies;
  • Prepare reports, technical opinions, and technical documents according to standards required by clients and environmental agencies, and document correct handling and storage procedures when applicable.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences, Chemical Engineering, or Environmental Engineering;
  • Word - intermediate/strong proficiency (automatic table of contents, inserting images, track changes, etc.)
  • Excel - intermediate/strong proficiency (basic formulas, filters, conditional formatting, etc.)
  • PowerPoint - intermediate/strong proficiency (master slide, animation, inserting images, etc.)
  • Preferred experience: R/Python or other statistical development tools
  • Desired experience in geochemistry, multivariate data analysis and/or environmental chemistry; candidates with backgrounds in limnology (biologist) or geography with experience in the listed activities are a plus.
