About the role

  • Serve as the technical lead for the Geoprocessing department, defining guidelines, standards, and best practices;
  • Lead technical decisions, prioritize requests, and organize the team’s workflow;
  • Mentor, support, and develop the technical skills of the team, promoting continuous learning and knowledge sharing;
  • Prepare, review, and validate cartographic products, spatial analyses, and geospatial models;
  • Develop and oversee complex projects involving GIS, remote sensing, and geostatistics;
  • Propose and implement improvements to processes, methodologies, tools, and technologies;
  • Ensure compliance with technical standards, legal requirements, and client and regulatory agency specifications;
  • Participate in strategic meetings, supporting data-driven decision making using spatial information;
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with technical and management teams, strengthening the company’s multidisciplinary approach.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or related field, with completed specialization in Geoprocessing, Geotechnologies, or a related area;
  • Solid, proven experience in geospatial projects at a senior level;
  • Proficiency with GIS tools, spatial analysis, and remote sensing;
  • Strong analytical skills, systems thinking, and ability to make technical decisions;
  • Collaborative profile with experience providing technical guidance to teams and coordinating with different departments;
  • Experience with environmental projects and permitting processes;
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary environments and technical consultancies;
  • Interest in innovation, automation, and continuous improvement in geotechnology.
