About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Review, approve, and provide clinical sign-off on comprehensive assessments, individualized care plans, and treatment-related documentation
- Ensure documentation meets medical necessity and ECM/CalAIM standards
- Provide feedback to staff to improve clinical quality, accuracy, and compliance
- Maintain consistency in clinical practices across multiple contracts, counties, and Managed Care Plans
- Serve as a clinical resource and consultant to ECM staff and multidisciplinary teams
- Provide guidance on complex and high-risk cases, behavioral health and substance use concerns, crisis intervention and stabilization, and treatment planning and care coordination strategies
- Provide consultation and support to staff, including availability for case debriefing and clinical guidance
- Assist with cases requiring escalated clinical involvement
- Support the integration of evidence-based practices into ECM service delivery
- Collaborate with Program Director and leadership to support program design and clinical effectiveness
- Conduct chart reviews, audits, and quality checks
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master’s or Doctoral degree in behavioral health, public health, or related human services field
- Active, unrestricted licensure in California: LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, PsyD, or PhD
- Minimum 5 years of clinical experience, including: Behavioral health (mental health and/or substance use) and High-acuity or underserved populations (e.g., homeless, justice-involved)
- At least 2 years of experience in care management, population health, or ECM-related services
- Strong experience in clinical documentation review, treatment planning, and crisis intervention
- Valid and unexpired driver’s license
