About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Review, approve, and provide clinical sign-off on comprehensive assessments, individualized care plans, and treatment-related documentation
Ensure documentation meets medical necessity and ECM/CalAIM standards
Provide feedback to staff to improve clinical quality, accuracy, and compliance
Maintain consistency in clinical practices across multiple contracts, counties, and Managed Care Plans
Serve as a clinical resource and consultant to ECM staff and multidisciplinary teams
Provide guidance on complex and high-risk cases, behavioral health and substance use concerns, crisis intervention and stabilization, and treatment planning and care coordination strategies
Provide consultation and support to staff, including availability for case debriefing and clinical guidance
Assist with cases requiring escalated clinical involvement
Support the integration of evidence-based practices into ECM service delivery
Collaborate with Program Director and leadership to support program design and clinical effectiveness
Conduct chart reviews, audits, and quality checks

Requirements

What you’ll need

Master’s or Doctoral degree in behavioral health, public health, or related human services field
Active, unrestricted licensure in California: LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, PsyD, or PhD
Minimum 5 years of clinical experience, including: Behavioral health (mental health and/or substance use) and High-acuity or underserved populations (e.g., homeless, justice-involved)
At least 2 years of experience in care management, population health, or ECM-related services
Strong experience in clinical documentation review, treatment planning, and crisis intervention
Valid and unexpired driver’s license
