About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide direct patient care and support to residents in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Observe and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff
- Monitor and document vital signs and other health-related observations
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
- Promote a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
- Protect resident privacy, dignity, and confidentiality
- Participate in orientation, training, and continuing education programs
- Assist with meal preparation as needed
- Follow all facility, state, and federal regulations, policies, and procedures
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or GED
- Current Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Certification/Registration
- Current BLS Certification (American Heart Association compliant)
- Minimum of 6 months experience as an Aide Trainee or 1 year of paid experience caring for geriatric, long-term care, or medically complex patients
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
