About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Analyze Requests for Proposals from federal, state, foundation, and commercial entities to identify risks, trends, and deviations
  • Help develop compliant business proposals
  • Maintain a strategic pricing database
  • Review RFP cost and business requirements and participate in developing pricing strategies and approaches
  • Develop Microsoft Excel pricing templates conforming to solicitation requirements and AIR pricing standards
  • Support internal staff, consultants, subcontractors, and external partners
  • Prepare required cost proposal schedules accurately and on time
  • Review submitted pricing data for accuracy, completeness, consistency, reasonableness, and adherence to AIR guidelines
  • Facilitate pricing changes as necessary
  • Collaborate with Business Development professionals on business volume requirements
  • Review and maintain cost proposal files and databases
  • Assist in developing a network of cost proposal-related files and databases and integrate information into strategy development
  • Monitor pricing environments and industry trends and communicate findings and recommendations to senior management
  • Assist with developing intelligence-based pricing standards, strategies, and best practices across the organization

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience in proposal pricing in response to federal government, state governments, and foundation solicitations
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations and Cost Accounting Standards
  • Demonstrated knowledge of contract types including firm fixed price, cost reimbursement, time & material, grants, and cooperative agreements
  • Effective communication skills for collaboration in a virtual environment
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, prioritize objectives, and meet timelines
  • Organizational, analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Strategic thinking with strong tactical execution
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to connect disparate ideas into cohesive solutions with strong attention to detail
  • Comprehensive experience developing reports from large data sets
  • Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables
  • Experience working with complex budgets
  • Currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis
  • Depending on project work, may need to meet certain residency requirements
