About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Verify and update all patient demographic and insurance information to ensure timely reimbursement.
Monitor outstanding balances and take appropriate actions to ensure clients pay as billed.
Bills the appropriate payor.
Manage the preparation of invoices and complete reconciliation of billing with accounts receivables.
Supports process improvements to assure quality and timely documentation.
Works closely with all billing and support service groups to assure maximum reimbursement.
Adhere to all practice policies related to OSHA, HIPAA, and CMS Compliance.

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School Diploma or equivalent
1+ year healthcare experience in healthcare billing, revenue services, or coding- medical certification or degree preferred.
1+ year of ICD-10 coding language experience preferred
Medicaid Experience
Medicare Billing Experience
Ability to work independently and carry out assignments to completion within the parameters of instructions
Ability to use independent judgment and to manage and impart confidential information.
Proficiency with Microsoft, which includes the ability to navigate multiple programs and learn new and complex computer system applications
Experience navigating third party websites
Ability to work in a fast-paced (remote) work environment; required to meet daily goal volumes.
