About the role

  • Develop marketing and communications strategies to acquire and nurture new donor and buyer prospects as well as retain and strengthen relationships with current funders.
  • Oversee the overall funder customer journey and ensure AFF is acquiring and targeting the right customers and effectively guiding them toward impactful long-term relationships.
  • Collaborate closely with the organizational comms team and the organization’s team of program staff, partners, funders, and consultants.
  • Exhibit creativity and adaptability, strategic thinking, and critical problem-solving abilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, or relevant work experience in marketing or communications.
  • Has a minimum of 3-5 years of marketing and communications experience.
  • Ability to think strategically about needs and direction of marketing and communications efforts (seeing the forest for the trees), while able to remain involved in the day-to-day operations and tasks of executing marketing tactics.
  • Technical experience with Google Analytics and email management, data analysis, and CMS platforms.
  • Plus, has experience specifically with Hubspot, Tableau, and Directus.
  • Ability to write compelling content that engages and connects with key audiences and conveys AFF’s messages in clear, actionable ways.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to act both independently and as part of a team.
  • A sense of curiosity and desire to continue developing marketing expertise and skills.
  • Experience marketing and communicating to donors and B2B audiences a plus
