About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Run HFM Consolidation for statutory and other reporting and work with the technologies team to resolve issues, if any
Support preparation of US GAAP to local GAAP statutory adjustments
Prepare audit schedules and respond to audit queries
Post journal entries and implement spreadsheet controls
Ensure effective controls and governance are adhered to
Coordinate with multiple teams across American Express to provide external audit support
Support preparation of US GAAP to local GAAP Financial Statements
Support accurate and timely statutory financial reporting in accordance with IFRS and applicable local GAAP requirements for multiple international legal entities
Collaborate with diverse stakeholders and cross-functional teams

Requirements

What you’ll need

CA Inter (Preferred) / Post-Graduate/ Graduate in Commerce from a recognized university
Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience
Finance/ Accounting/Audit experience
Must demonstrate personal accountability in ensuring all tasks and activities are carried out on time and in accordance with requirements
Demonstrate ability to operate in a large company matrix environment (if external candidate)
Should have excellent Accounting and Finance knowledge
Should have good analytical skills
Knowledge of AXP Policies, Procedures and Systems
High proficiency in MS-Office applications
Working knowledge of Workiva/Wdesk/Essbase/analytical software/Oracle etc.
Familiarity with emerging technologies (e.g., GenAI) and their application to reporting
Hands-on experience developing analytics using data visualization and business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, or similar platforms)
Strong written and verbal communication
Team Player
A fast & keen learner with the ability to learn a detailed process quickly
