About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support and manage partner-specific technical roadmaps aligned with partner product strategies, GMNS Product priorities, and shared commercial objectives
  • Develop understanding of strategic partners’ business priorities and technical capabilities to identify mutual-growth opportunities and differentiated network solutions
  • Translate partner requirements into product requirements, business cases, and roadmap recommendations
  • Collaborate with GMNS Product teams to prioritize enhancements and resolve competing priorities
  • Represent partner perspectives in product planning, roadmap reviews, and prioritization discussions
  • Coordinate product delivery, launch readiness, and partner outcomes with Solutions Enablement, Partner Account Management, and other stakeholders
  • Serve as a trusted advisor in strategic product discussions with partners
  • Identify risks, manage dependencies, and drive alignment across internal and external teams
  • Capture and synthesize partner feedback, market insights, and industry trends to inform product enhancements and continuous improvement

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of experience in partner-facing, product management, consulting, strategy, business development, or related roles
  • Experience within payments, financial services, technology, or platform businesses
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with strategic partners and collaborate across cross-functional teams
  • Experience translating customer or partner needs into product requirements, business cases, or roadmap recommendations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to evaluate competing priorities, make data-driven recommendations, and communicate trade-offs
  • Working knowledge of payments, network products, digital commerce, or related financial technology ecosystems
  • Ability to quickly develop expertise in American Express network capabilities and product offerings
  • Ability to influence stakeholders in a highly matrixed organization without direct authority
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with internal stakeholders and external partners
  • Ability to travel for partner and stakeholder meetings, estimated up to 20%
  • Employment eligibility to work with American Express in the United States is required; the company will not pursue visa sponsorship
