About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Prospect new Corporate Card clients to deliver annual sales targets
  • Drive Commercial Card sales to local and multinational SME businesses with annual turnover of $10M-$150M
  • Manage the sales pipeline and sales activities, including self-generated leads, cold calls, follow-up calls, emails, and other prospecting activities
  • Forecast monthly sales and generate billings
  • Provide American Express expense management solutions by understanding prospects' businesses, identifying opportunities, and introducing services
  • Build relationships and engage with new and existing clients, predominantly over the phone
  • Sell corporate solutions across a variety of industries
  • Coordinate with internal teams to deliver on the customer promise
  • Convert prospects into customers and achieve growth targets

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Consultative selling experience with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals in a phone-based sales environment
  • Experience in acquisition and B2B corporate sales
  • Proven ability to hunt new business and self-generate leads and referrals
  • Demonstrated networking, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience building relationships and developing and executing successful sales strategies
  • Ability to effectively engage and gain commitment via telephone, email, social media, and face-to-face communication
  • Commercial acumen and ability to understand financial statements (preferred)
  • Successful completion of a background verification check as a condition of employment, subject to applicable laws and regulations
