About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support identification and assessment of financial reporting risks by evaluating first-line processes and controls
  • Apply risk-based testing methodologies to assess conformance with governance requirements and identify opportunities to strengthen the control environment
  • Execute second-line oversight activities for the risk universe associated with US regulatory reports
  • Support development of test plans based on financial reporting process risk profiles, business activities, and key controls
  • Execute risk-based conformance testing reviews against applicable regulatory requirements
  • Validate the accuracy, interpretation, and documentation of reporting instructions
  • Document testing procedures, observations, results, control gaps, non-conformance, and improvement opportunities
  • Prepare clear and concise testing reports for management and relevant stakeholders
  • Support ongoing monitoring, including Risk Appetite metrics, Key Risk Indicators, and Risk Oversight policies and procedures
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and senior leaders in reporting units

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Risk Management, or another related discipline is required
  • 2–3 years of experience in financial or regulatory reporting, audit, or risk management within banking or financial services is required
  • Prior Regulatory, Federal Reserve, SEC, external reporting, and banking or financial services experience is strongly preferred
  • Proactive issue identification, key finding delivery and escalation, and recommendation of corrective or risk-mitigation solutions
  • Strong understanding of business process controls, policy adherence, and risk management practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to communicate complex concepts simply
  • Rigorous and analytical approach to problem-solving, decision-making, prioritization, and collaboration across teams and geographies
  • Successful completion of a background verification check, subject to applicable laws and regulations
