About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Advise on the implementation of new laws and regulations in the Regulatory Change Management process
- Participate in the Compliance Risk Assessment process and provide effective challenge
- Support business initiatives, including new product assessments
- Review communications and customer-facing materials from a transparency perspective and for alignment with internal policies
- Support periodic reviews of Compliance policies and procedures
Requirements
What you’ll need- University degree (preferably in Law)
- At least 4–6 years of regulatory Compliance experience related to financial institutions or the payments industry
- High level of English, both verbal and written
- Familiarity with payment services regulation in Spain and Europe
- Ability to build positive relationships with business stakeholders and partners
- Excellent verbal and written communication and influencing skills
- Ability to adapt, handle several tasks simultaneously, and work as part of a team
- Analytical skills and strong business understanding
- Initiative and ability to assume responsibilities
- Employment eligibility to work with American Express in Spain required; the company will not pursue visa sponsorship
- Successful completion of a background verification check, subject to applicable laws and regulations
