About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Supervise and mentor Software Engineers and cross-functional colleagues on specific tasks or projects
Provide mentorship and technical leadership to junior engineers
Lead the entire lifecycle of software applications and systems from inception to deployment
Direct the technical aspects of projects, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability
Review code for accuracy, quality, and adherence to best practices
Establish and enforce coding standards, development methodologies, and best practices
Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks
Facilitate collaboration with cross-functional teams to support changes and implementations
Collaborate with product and business teams to align technology initiatives with business objectives
Design, develop, test, and debug software applications
Contribute to software builds, code reviews, and automated testing
Support and monitor software across environments
Adhere to security and regulatory best practices

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and/or comparable experience; advanced degree preferred
Significant hands-on experience in application architecture/design, software development, and testing
Experience preferably in an Agile professional environment
Significant hands-on experience and knowledge of public cloud technologies, including AWS, GCP, and Kubernetes
12+ years of proven experience using Java, Ab Initio, React, Spring, Spark, Kafka, Postgres, Ignite, RESTful APIs, in-memory computing, IntelliJ, Couchbase, and OpenSearch
Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript, and component-based architecture
Experience designing and building AI-powered and Agentic AI solutions
Experience with LLM-based applications, AI agents, RAG, prompt engineering, orchestration frameworks, vector databases, and AI service integrations
Hands-on full-stack development experience using Node.js, Java, Python, or similar backend technologies
Experience building responsive web applications with React, Angular, or Vue.js
Experience with DevOps and customizing pipelines based on product needs
Strong engineering and professional leadership skills
Demonstrated ability to lead, partner, and collaborate across multiple engineering teams
