Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop, test, and debug software applications and systems
Complete software builds using tools, common components, and documentation with guidance from peers and leaders
Complete code reviews and automated testing to maintain high-quality code standards
Support and monitor software across test, integration, and production environments
Adhere to security and regulatory best practices to ensure software compliance
Collaborate with product and business teams to align technology initiatives with business objectives
Integrate AI tools into coding, testing, debugging workflows, and documentation to improve development speed and code quality
Evaluate AI-generated recommendations for accuracy, quality, engineering-standard alignment, and security while maintaining accountability for outputs

Requirements

What you’ll need

Degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field
Minimum 3 years of professional software development experience with Java technologies
Experience with Vert.x, Spring, Spring Boot, RESTful microservices, Ignite, in-memory computing, Spark, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, Kafka, IntelliJ, Couchbase, OpenSearch, Python, and RESTful APIs
Hands-on experience with application design, software development, and automated testing
Experience with distributed multi-tier systems, algorithms, and relational or NoSQL databases
Ability to interpret technical and business objectives and challenges and develop solutions
Ability to learn and investigate new technologies and business domains, question the status quo, and think creatively
Ability to debug basic software components and identify code defects for remediation
Experience working in Agile or other rapid application development methods
Experience leveraging and building Agent Skills and prompt engineering
Proficient oral and written communication skills
