About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support development and maintenance of portfolio reporting, value realization frameworks, and performance metrics across strategic transformation initiatives
  • Track business outcomes, financial benefits, customer impact, and operational performance
  • Develop portfolio dashboards, scorecards, and executive reporting materials
  • Analyze portfolio data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and continuous improvement areas
  • Develop business analyses, financial models, and business cases for strategic transformation initiatives
  • Evaluate investment opportunities, implementation costs, business benefits, and operational impacts
  • Support vendor evaluations, pricing analyses, and commercial recommendations with cross-functional teams
  • Research industry trends and benchmark best practices for portfolio planning and strategic decision-making
  • Support portfolio prioritization by identifying dependencies, risks, and opportunities
  • Prepare executive presentations, dashboards, scorecards, briefing materials, and governance meeting analyses
  • Translate complex analyses into concise business recommendations
  • Build collaborative relationships across Product, Technology, Finance, Operations, Strategy, and other enterprise organizations
  • Support special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5 years of experience in strategy, consulting, finance, business analytics, operations, customer success, account management, product management, or a related analytical role
  • Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
  • Ability to synthesize data into actionable business insights
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis, financial modeling, scenario analysis, or forecasting
  • Strong Microsoft PowerPoint skills and experience creating polished business presentations for senior stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
  • Proven ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across teams
  • Employment eligibility to work with American Express in the United States; the company will not pursue visa sponsorship
  • Preferred: MBA or Master's degree in Business, Finance, Strategy, Economics, or a related discipline
  • Preferred: Experience developing business cases, financial analyses, dashboards, or executive presentations
  • Preferred: Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization tools
  • Preferred: Familiarity with Agile delivery, AI-enabled capabilities, digital transformation, customer servicing, or operational transformation
