About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead strategy, long-range planning, and analytics capabilities for GREWE
- Translate business objectives into a holistic enterprise real-estate footprint strategy
- Develop and execute GREWE’s long-term goals, annual goals, long-range plan, and annual planning cycles
- Establish performance dashboards, metrics, governance, operating cadence, and decision frameworks
- Build senior-leader relationships and align GREWE strategies with business-segment strategies
- Generate data-driven insights and recommendations for executive decision-making, investments, and strategic priorities
- Develop and manage multi-year digital analytics technology supporting the portfolio strategy roadmap
- Coordinate standards, processes, tools, systems, platforms, and data validation with AET, EDDS, and Digital Workplace teams
- Lead the Reimagine GREWE transformation program and cross-functional initiatives
- Present frequently to GREWE leadership, senior executives, and executive committee leaders
- Lead a team of 4–5 direct reports and 10+ indirect reports
- Create the Amex footprint strategy affecting 80+ buildings in 59 countries and optimize more than $600 million in annual corporate spend
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of 10+ years’ work experience in Business, Engineering, Real Estate, Facilities, and/or Risk Management
- Minimum of 5+ years managing global teams/people leadership experience
- Deep knowledge of real estate, facilities, and engineering capabilities
- Outstanding collaboration, connect, influence, and shaping skills
- Strategic thought leadership and ability to act as a highly motivated self-starter
- Strong qualitative and quantitative problem-solving skills, including issue identification, problem structuring, analysis, and recommendation development
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to partner with and influence senior leaders across the AXP organization
- Proven track record of people leadership, followership, and team development
- Ability to travel 25% of the time, including domestic and international travel
- Experience leading 4–5 direct reports and 10+ indirect reports
- Ability to establish key working relationships with Finance, HR/CEG, Tech/ETS, Operations, Corenet, IFMA, IAMC, and other trade organizations
- University/Bachelor’s Degree required
- Employment eligibility to work with American Express in the United States required; the company will not pursue visa sponsorship
