About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead mechanical engineering activities on refinery and industrial projects
Design and review process piping systems (ASME B31.1 & B31.3)
Prepare engineering calculations and code compliance documentation
Develop equipment specifications and data sheets
Review pressure vessels, tanks, pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, and rotating equipment
Lead mechanical design reviews and quality assurance activities
Coordinate with piping, structural, electrical, civil, and process engineering teams
Support procurement by preparing bid packages and evaluating vendor proposals
Participate in field walkdowns, construction support, and startup activities
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership
Interface directly with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders

Requirements

What you’ll need

10+ years of mechanical engineering experience
Refinery, petrochemical, oil & gas, chemical processing, or heavy industrial experience
Experience leading engineering deliverables on capital projects
Strong understanding of mechanical equipment and process piping systems
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
EIT certification
Previous refinery project experience
Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams
Excellent client communication skills
