About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as an ambassador for new and existing Alterna members
  • Assess members’ overall needs and identify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities
  • Provide education, advice, products, and services for mass-market members
  • Refer members with complex needs to branch partners or Senior Bankers
  • Maintain a cash drawer and serve members
  • Meet sales targets through financial-needs assessment and product/service solutions
  • Execute transaction posting, cash management, balancing, administrative, security, and risk-management procedures accurately
  • Identify and refer high-value or high-potential members
  • Contribute to branch growth, retention, sales initiatives, campaigns, and goals
  • Participate in branch meetings, huddles, goal-setting meetings, and coaching sessions
  • Handle walk-in traffic and member-initiated contacts
  • Maintain current knowledge of banking products, services, and procedures
  • Use sales and service tools to support member interactions
  • Create and complete a personal development plan
  • Comply with anti-money-laundering, compliance, and regulatory guidelines
  • Participate in community initiatives
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Post-secondary education
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a sales industry or equivalent experience
  • Proven sales experience
  • Financial Services Industry experience is an asset
  • Experience providing credit solutions is an asset
  • Solid working knowledge of all offered products and services
  • Proficiency in sales and service tools
  • Knowledge of new accounts, investments, loans, and mortgages
  • Compliance with anti-money-laundering and regulatory guidelines
