About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Conduct plot-by-plot surveys for wastewater and/or drinking water systems
Carry out measurement campaigns and diagnostics of drinking water and wastewater networks
Perform occasional nighttime inspections
Locate and survey drinking water, wastewater, and stormwater networks
Regularly use GIS
Update cartographic plans and prepare infrastructure records
Conduct GPS surveys of water networks
Process field data and interpret results
Contribute to the preparation of reports
Maintain and monitor the measurement equipment in the metrology fleet
Participate in all of the agency’s field projects under the responsibility of the Agency Director
Collaborate with engineers and project managers, as well as with national offices

Requirements

What you’ll need

Two- or three-year higher education qualification in Water Management (BTSA GEMEAU or Professional Bachelor’s degree)
Two years of experience and skills in drinking water supply, wastewater management, and/or non-collective sanitation
Interest in field-based work
Ability to meet deadlines
Versatility across drinking water supply, wastewater, and non-collective sanitation assignments
Autonomy and attention to detail
Responsiveness and ability to ensure the quality of collected data
Practical mindset and team spirit
