About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop, manage, and validate aircraft, system and component-level requirements, ensuring bidirectional traceability and alignment with regulatory and certification needs
- Apply SAE ARP4754A and ARP4761 processes to support safety assessments (FHA, FTA, FMEA) and certification planning under Part 23/27/33
- Author, execute, and maintain verification plans, procedures, and test reports, coordinating lab, integration, and system-level tests for systems like vibrations, airframe, fuselage, interiors, environmental control systems, and electric engines
- Perform system behavior modeling and support test automation and data analysis to ensure compliance with certification schedules
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Software Engineering, or a related field, or relevant technical military background with equivalent experience
- 10+ years of experience on Part 23 or 27 aircraft or rotorcraft programs
- Strong working knowledge of: SAE ARP4754A, ARP4761, FAA Order 8110.4C RTCA DO-160G, DO-331, DO-178C
- Experience with ARP4754A-based verification and requirements-based testing and traceability audits
- Proficiency with ALM and verification tools (Polarion, JIRA, Confluence)
- Experience with solid modeling tools (Onshape, SolidWorks, CATIA, or equivalent)
- Comfortable working in a cross-functional, certification-focused environment
