About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the design, manufacture, and verification of spaceflight hardware
- Ensure high-quality standards are met across mechanisms and structural parts
- Participate in technical reviews, assess risks, and work with suppliers throughout the hardware lifecycle
- Establish and maintain PA/QA requirements for mechanisms and structural components
- Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and technical boards for non-conformances and anomalies
- Support materials, mechanical parts, and process selection, including verification and contamination control
- Inspect hardware at various stages (incoming, pre-test, post-test)
- Work with suppliers to ensure requirements are met and resolve non-conformances
- Maintain quality management systems and supporting documentation
Requirements
What you’ll need- Mandatory space industry experience
- 5+ years of experience in PA/QA for regulated manufacturing, preferably spaceflight
- Knowledge of materials, mechanical parts, and space hardware processes
- Experience in testing, verification, and reporting
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience
