About the role
- We work with business, product management, and design teams to develop ergonomic, reliable tools.
- You will be responsible for collecting, processing, analyzing, and visualizing data to deliver strategic insights.
- You will play a key role in decision-making by working closely with business teams, developers, and data engineers.
- Develop interactive, dynamic dashboards in Looker and Looker Studio.
- Identify and track critical KPIs to guide business operations.
- Design optimized data pipelines in BigQuery.
- Ensure data quality and reliability to guarantee consistency across analyses.
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries in BigQuery.
- Automate analytical processes to improve efficiency and performance.
- Work closely with the client’s business teams across multiple countries to understand their analytical needs.
- Train and support users in the use of dashboards and analytical tools.
Requirements
- Master’s degree (Bac+5) from an engineering school or equivalent university degree with a specialization in computer science, or equivalent significant professional experience.
- More than 7 years of experience with SQL.
- Experience with dbt, Looker, Looker Studio, and similar BI tools.
- Experience in retail or large-scale distribution is a plus.
- Strong command of SQL and NoSQL databases (DBL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.).
- Excellent SQL skills and hands-on experience with BigQuery.
- Expertise in creating and optimizing dashboards in Looker Studio.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills: ability to produce high-quality deliverables and reports.
- Expertise in Python (Pandas, NumPy, PySpark, etc.).
- Analytical mindset and commitment to continuous improvement: ability to assess code and its impacts and to challenge existing solutions to enhance them.
- Understanding of DevOps and Cloud principles (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Knowledge of modern data architectures (Data Lake, Data Warehouse).
- Ability to take a step back: capacity to evaluate issues objectively and propose improvement solutions.
- Team player: ability to collaborate effectively with team members to achieve common goals.
- Proficiency with Agile concepts (Scrum, sprint planning, backlog, etc.).
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Version control and CI/CD experience with GitLab CI.
