About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the primary internal contact for all service lines provided by Altais to network physicians
- Support day-to-day administrative operations and provide service to physicians and office staff
- Monitor physician participation from entry through tenure with Altais
- Advocate for current and future products, services, and operational processes
- Contribute to organizational and departmental strategies and goals
- Act as an internal and external liaison, resolving challenges and promoting positive relationships
- Communicate physician network challenges and deficiencies, escalating issues and ensuring timely resolutions
- Serve as first contact for physician network support for electronic network tools, deploying EpicLink and the Provider Engagement Portal
- Provide education, training, and day-to-day support for electronic network tools
- Participate in multi-department work groups addressing access, quality of care, and claims issues
- Document and track tasks for Physician Services
- Assist with onboarding new physicians and staff, including account setups, agreements, and paperwork
- Complete administrative tasks associated with physician and office staff requests
- Track and trend physician status changes
- Schedule and facilitate internal and external meetings to discuss and resolve relevant issues
- Educate physician practices on policies and procedures, medical management review processes, claims payment policies, and clinical coding processes
- Review policies for compliance, troubleshoot provider issues, and identify non-compliant providers
- Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of Altais services and product offerings
- Travel up to 75% of the time within the Riverside region
Requirements
What you’ll need- BA/BS degree or equivalent experience of 4 years working in direct managed health care administration or physician office administration
- 2–3 years of patient and physician portals and EMH or EMR system experience (preferred)
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Proficient in patient and physician portals and EMH or EMR systems
- Ability to use independent judgment and initiative within established policies and procedures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong understanding of physician office operations, including interfaces and interdependencies between offices, health plans, and IPAs
- Demonstrated flexibility and strong organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize duties and effectively delegate tasks
- Ability to maintain excellent relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Comprehensive knowledge and excellent customer service skills related to the complexities of physician practices
- Ability to travel up to 75% of the time within the Riverside region
- External hires must pass a background check/drug screen
