Key responsibilities & impact

Organizes and maintains document files including correspondence, court papers, and case records
Reviews and analyzes matters for preparing evaluations and status reports for internal use and clients
Drafts shells for complaints and answers, routine notices, affidavits, motions, and petitions
Prepares materials for and assists in case trials including jury instructions and motions
Conducts research and locates case-related information using available resources

Requirements

What you’ll need

5-10+ years of experience in litigation as a paralegal
Extensive knowledge of Intellectual Property Rights
Knowledge of federal court & the USPTO post-grant filing procedures
Patent experience and experience working with the International Trade Commission are a plus
Ability to read and understand technical/scientific papers including patents, copyrights, mark, and trade secrets
Familiarity with large case management and E-Discovery
Interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with clients, attorneys, and staff
Completion of a four-year college degree is required, paralegal certificate optional
