About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Maintain and enforce a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
- Oversee operations of the accounting department
- Oversee accounting operations of subsidiary corporations
- Manage outsourced functions
- Issue financial statements to senior management and the board of directors
- Manage relationship with financial auditors and annual audit process
- Ensure accounts payable are paid in a timely manner
- Process payroll and ensure bank reconciliations are completed
- Coordinate provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administrator or related discipline
- Minimum 10+ years of progressively increasing accounting / financial reporting experience in a managerial / executive capacity
- 3 – 5 years of experience with a large or mid-tier national accounting firm
- Corporate accounting experience with established expertise in multi-entity consolidations
- Strong grounding and knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
- Knowledge of managed care and value-based care financial concepts preferred
- CPA and/or MBA designation preferred
