About the role

  • Back up the Team Lead to ensure continuity of operations.
  • Primary point of contact for all IT Projects and will organize all tasks and work in order of priority with the government product owner.
  • Responsible for managing, tracking, and reporting on all tasks and is expected to utilize their required experience and skills to ensure compliance with HSI standards.
  • Work with Team Lead, Government PMs and OCIO ITPMs to complete tasks.
  • Take ownership of all IT related security and privacy documentation.
  • Primary POC for all IT related projects with government PMs.
  • Become knowledgeable of all Title-III systems to be able to better direct and coordinate all security and privacy issues that may arise.
  • Document and maintain records for new initiatives to include Artificial Intelligence working groups and new technology demonstrations.
  • Assigned workload on an ad hoc basis.

Requirements

  • 3-5 Years of experience as a Product Owner or Project Manager
  • Knowledge of various agile business analysis techniques including interviewing, brainstorming, problem discovery, and MVP identification.
  • Experience collaborating with stakeholders at varied levels.
  • Experience in supporting business and project teams in translating complex business needs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and proven ability to ask probing questions to business team members.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Ability to manage and lead meetings.
  • Experience using JIRA and Confluence.
  • Experience working in an environment leveraging IT frameworks.
  • Active or recent previous DHS experience HIGHLY desired.
  • At least 1 year of experience in Product or Project Management.
  • Proven track record of delivering data driven solutions with a customer-first mindset.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or an IT related field, which can be substituted for technical certifications or relevant experience.
