About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide clinical care for patients

  • Work approximately 70% in clinic and 30% in the operating room
  • Work within specialty care teams in inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Support continuity of patient care
  • Serve as educator, case manager and consultant to staff and multidisciplinary healthcare teams

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program required
  • Licensed Physician Assistant - MN Board of Medical Practice required upon hire
  • Certification as Physician Assistant - NCCPA National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants required upon hire
  • Drug Enforcement Administration registration required upon hire
  • BLS Tier 1 - Basic Life Support - Multisource required within 180 days
  • 2 to 5 years' experience post Physician Assistant training strongly preferred
  • Ability to provide care in inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Ability to work as a 1:1 first assist
  • Ability to work primarily in hand and wrist orthopedics
  • Ability to work day shifts and 8-hour shifts
  • Ability to lift up to 32 lbs. occasionally and up to 25 lbs. frequently
