About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, build, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks; create technical solutions, documentation, and training resources to allow our QA engineers to easily create scenarios within these frameworks
Own end-to-end test strategy for our platform, including functional, integration, regression, performance, and security testing
Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with our platform engineering team
Perform load, stress, and performance testing on high-throughput processes
Mentor QA engineers; drive engineering-wide best practices for testability and quality
Perform investigation with root cause analysis, and close the loop with new automated coverage

Requirements

What you’ll need

5–8+ years of software engineering experience, with a strong focus on test automation and quality engineering
Proficiency in modern programming languages - Node.js, React, TypeScript, and Python experience preferred
Deep experience with test automation frameworks - Playwright or similar preferred
Strong API testing experience (RESTful APIs, GraphQL)
Experience with CI/CD tools and integrating test automation within CI/CD frameworks – Github Actions experience preferred
Solid understanding of relational databases; comfort writing complex SQL, testing data shape and testing database performance impacts
Experience testing distributed, cloud-based systems - AWS w/ Docker & Kubernetes experience preferred
Knowledge of and experience testing event-driven architecture patterns (Kafka or similar)
