About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee end-to-end contract management for diverse long-term contracts (e.g., BOA, IDIQ, OTA), spanning R&D, EMD, and Production phases
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customer communications and contract negotiations
  • Lead contracting actions throughout the business acquisition process, ensuring alignment with corporate goals
  • Develop and execute negotiation strategies, collaborating with capture and proposal teams to achieve favorable outcomes
  • Conduct thorough contract reviews, establish contract baselines, and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements (e.g., FAR/DFARS)
  • Drive robust change management practices, ensuring timely approvals and resolution of contract changes
  • Assist with dispute resolution and maintain the official contract record for the corporation
  • Manage contract closeouts and support corporate compliance efforts for Truthful Cost or Pricing Data Act requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelors degree in a relevant field (advanced degree preferred and may substitute for 2 years of experience)
  • High School diploma with some college and 4+ additional years of work experience in lieu of a degree
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CFCM, CPCM) are a plus
  • 5-10+ years in government contracting, preferably within the national security, aerospace, or defense industries
  • In-depth knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense FAR Supplement (DFARS)
  • Hands-on experience with contract types, OTAs, and compliance requirements
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and capable of learning various business systems
  • Strong understanding of the contract lifecycle, including baseline management, change documentation, and risk mitigation
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to resolve complex challenges
  • Outstanding interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills for team collaboration and customer engagement
  • Ability to mentor junior colleagues and lead cross-functional training sessions
  • Familiarity with Intellectual Property (IP) considerations and corporate IP strategies
  • Applicants must be eligible for and able to maintain a government security clearance
  • Preferred: Current Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility
