About the role

  • You have successfully led projects in the Defense & Security domain and possess a solid understanding of industry-specific requirements and processes
  • You are experienced in acquiring new contracts and handling tenders, especially in the Defense & Security environment, and actively build customer relationships
  • For projects you win, you take on the leadership of data-driven AI/IT integration projects with responsibility for delivery on time, within budget and to quality standards
  • You ensure high customer satisfaction and actively support team leads in business development
  • In stakeholder management you actively manage clients and internal interfaces (e.g., partner management, controlling, team leadership), including expectation management
  • You are responsible for planning project roadmaps, subprojects, budgets and resources, as well as preparing, conducting and following up on meetings, workshops and steering committees (including follow-ups)

Requirements

  • You are an experienced project manager in data-driven AI/IT integration projects
  • You have solid knowledge of the data landscape, ideally with hands-on experience in Data Science or Data Engineering
  • You are proficient in common project methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Agile with Scrum/Kanban)
  • You have successfully applied these methodologies in client projects and ideally hold relevant certifications and experience with pertinent tools
  • You have experience working with public-sector clients or military industry projects and with security-relevant requirements (e.g., classified information protection, IT security regulations, regulatory frameworks)
  • Ideally, you have completed service with the German Bundeswehr in the middle or senior service
  • Willingness to travel for work and, if required, to undergo security clearance (e.g., Ü2/Ü3)
  • You present yourself confidently and professionally, communicate convincingly in German and English, and bring strong presentation and facilitation skills as well as a structured way of working
  • You work independently, are results-oriented and entrepreneurial
  • You demonstrate commitment, flexibility and creativity, and remain resilient, solution-focused and positive even in challenging client situations
