About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Editing and formatting documents for clarity, accuracy, and consistency
Ensuring conformance with established style, grammar, and publication standards
Supporting doctrine development and structured publishing processes
Reviewing and refining technical, policy, and operational documents
Coordinating with stakeholders to ensure quality and timely delivery
Managing editorial workflows and production schedules (Senior/Lead level responsibility)
Overseeing document quality and consistency across deliverables (Senior/Lead level responsibility)
Supporting content management and publishing processes (Senior/Lead level responsibility)

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience supporting DoD or federal government programs
Familiarity with doctrine development and publishing processes
Strong attention to detail and document control practices
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and document formatting tools
Experience with Adobe or other publishing/editing tools
Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience)
Relevant experience in editing/technical writing for Editor role
2+ years of experience at the Editor level for Senior Editor role
10+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated leadership in editorial functions for Lead Editor role
U.S. Citizenship Required due to federal contract. No visa sponsorship (OPT/CPT included).
