About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Under direct supervision, perform tasks involving radiation protection principles to ensure safety for personnel, the public, and the environment.
  • Provide support for large and small deactivation, decommissioning, demolition, environmental remediation and/or construction projects.
  • Work with the waste group in the preparation, filling, loading, and unloading of waste containers.
  • Perform other project activities as directed by Supervisor.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, environmental health, radiologic technology, or a related field from an accredited program.
  • Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or equivalent radiation safety certification preferred;
  • Completion of radiation safety training and environmental monitoring protocols preferred.
  • Prior experience working on government installation, base, or facility preferred.
  • CPR/FA a plus
