About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

You translate client needs into complete space planning concepts.
You analyze requests, collaborate with project managers, plan spaces and produce layout plans that balance design, technical constraints, budget and constructability.
You produce: commercial layout plans using AutoCAD or CET Designer; technical plans for installation; 2D and 3D visualizations; client presentations that allow clients to clearly visualize concepts.
Your attention to detail enables you to anticipate issues before they become problems.
You participate in: preparing technical specifications; selecting products and finishes; validating projects prior to ordering; reviewing plans to ensure a smooth installation.
You propose alternatives that improve projects: cost optimization, improved functionality, technical feasibility or design coherence.
You also contribute to the continuous improvement of tools, processes and working methods to help the team evolve.

Requirements

What you’ll need

DEC in Interior Design or equivalent training.
5 years or more of experience in commercial interior design, office fit-outs or office furniture.
Excellent command of AutoCAD.
Experience with CET Designer (an asset).
Good understanding of technical drawings and installation constraints.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong attention to detail.
Collaborative approach and ability to propose solutions.
