About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • You translate client needs into complete space planning concepts.
  • You analyze requests, collaborate with project managers, plan spaces and produce layout plans that balance design, technical constraints, budget and constructability.
  • You produce: commercial layout plans using AutoCAD or CET Designer; technical plans for installation; 2D and 3D visualizations; client presentations that allow clients to clearly visualize concepts.
  • Your attention to detail enables you to anticipate issues before they become problems.
  • You participate in: preparing technical specifications; selecting products and finishes; validating projects prior to ordering; reviewing plans to ensure a smooth installation.
  • You propose alternatives that improve projects: cost optimization, improved functionality, technical feasibility or design coherence.
  • You also contribute to the continuous improvement of tools, processes and working methods to help the team evolve.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • DEC in Interior Design or equivalent training.
  • 5 years or more of experience in commercial interior design, office fit-outs or office furniture.
  • Excellent command of AutoCAD.
  • Experience with CET Designer (an asset).
  • Good understanding of technical drawings and installation constraints.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Collaborative approach and ability to propose solutions.
