About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct research based on macroeconomic and financial data analysis in support of client advice and portfolio management
- Assisting in gathering data and statistical modelling of investment research projects
- Working collaboratively with departments such as Multi-Asset Portfolio Management, Risk Management, Client Investment Strategy and various investment teams to provide effective debate to findings and to explore creative solutions to unique portfolio management challenges
- Preparing written materials and presentations for the effective delivery and communication of investment research to clients, investment teams and to provide education and transparency into the Economics & Investment Research function
- Participate in the team’s focus on building LLM-based prompting strategies, pipelines and agentic workflows
Requirements
What you’ll need- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s, master’s degree or PhD in a quantitative field (Mathematics, Economics, Actuarial Science, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science or related)
- Experience with software programming language (R or Python) and proficiency with Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) is required
- Experience with building LLM-based processes and infrastructure is an asset
- Knowledge of statistical/econometrics, machine learning and optimization methods is an asset
- Exceptional attention to detail, and an ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Effective analytical, organization, time management and communication skills
- Investment management or finance exposure would be considered an asset.
