About the role
- Overseeing the billing staff.
- Daily external contact with Federal/State agencies and third-party payers.
- Completing an analysis of open accounts and denials each month.
- Working with departments to reduce future denials.
- Serving as the knowledge resource for all billing questions posed by the team and executive leadership.
Requirements
- Proven communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Interpersonal skills.
- Ability to interpret, communicate and implement regulatory changes and/or Third-Party procedural mandates.
- Ensure quality and quantity of work for the billing and follow up units.
- Ability to manage difficult situations effectively and appropriately.
- Quality and effective staff development.
- Ability to travel to multiple off-site locations.
