About the role

  • The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) is seeking a .NET Developer Programmer Analyst, Level 3 to perform advanced automated systems development and application support as part of the IT Scheduled Releases team.
  • This role will be responsible for all phases of the software development life cycle, from design and coding through testing and maintenance.
  • The candidate will analyze, design, and develop structured programs and web applications that are well-documented, accessible, and maintainable.
  • The developer will work closely with internal and external clients to troubleshoot, resolve issues, and deliver solutions that meet usability, accessibility, and performance standards.
  • Responsibilities: development and support of web applications using .NET technologies; analyze, diagnose, and resolve software, data, hardware, and reporting issues; design, develop, test, and deploy applications with accessibility and usability requirements; document current processes, create test cases for defects; develop maintainable programs; ensure adherence to standards; collaborate with team; perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience developing .NET web applications using ASP.NET MVC, C#, and LINQ
  • Experience using SQL (Structured Query Language)
  • Experience using Version Control systems
  • Recent experience with Razor View Engine and/or Entity Framework
  • Experience with general web development
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, and Bootstrap
  • Experience using Microfocus ALM Octane (Application Lifecycle Management)
  • Experience building accessible web applications
  • Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) principles and best practices
  • Ability to accurately test software applications using a data-driven development approach
