About the role
- Hybrid work arrangement with 3 onsite days and 2 remote days in Austin, TX
- The HHSC job overview: two Systems Analyst 3 resources specializing in UI/UX design to enhance accessibility, usability, and responsiveness of eligibility systems
- Lead research, design, and prototyping initiatives to ensure applications are intuitive and WCAG-compliant
- Collaborate with Code for America and cross-functional teams; facilitate workshops, sprint planning, and stakeholder feedback sessions
- Develop and test designs using tools like Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, Hotjar; implement usability testing
- Focus on AI/ML interface considerations including explainable AI and human-AI interaction
- Present data visualizations; advocate for user-centered design and accessibility standards
Requirements
- 11+ years of hands-on experience designing user interfaces and experiences for enterprise systems
- 11+ years of proven collaboration with technical and non-technical teams
- 10+ years of experience applying UX principles to responsive and accessible interfaces
- 10+ years of experience creating wireframes and prototypes for agile development cycles
- 5+ years of experience designing diagrams and visual narratives for workflows, timelines, and system architecture
- 3+ years of experience facilitating workshops and feedback sessions with stakeholders
- 3+ years of experience with Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, HCI, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent)
- 3+ years of strong multitasking skills to manage multiple design streams concurrently
