About the role

- Environment & Release Management: Participate in the commissioning and decommissioning of product environments and support the team during scheduled product releases.
- CI/CD Pipeline Automation: Help build and maintain continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using GitHub Actions. You’ll apply your coding skills in Python and Bash/Zsh to automate infrastructure and application deployments.
- Compliance & Security Standards: Learn how to align infrastructure with global standards (ISO 9001, 27001, NIS 2, SOC 2, and GAMP) by supporting configuration management and audit-readiness tasks.
- Vulnerability Management: Assist in automating infrastructure patching and vulnerability scanning to keep our cloud environment secure.
- Monitoring & Incident Support: Work with the team to monitor system health and participate in incident response to learn how to troubleshoot and resolve real-world cloud issues.
Requirements

- Linux/Unix Basics: Comfortable navigating a terminal and performing basic tasks in Bash or Zsh (e.g., from lab work or personal projects).
- Scripting Fundamentals: Ability to write clean, basic code in Python or another high-level language.
- Version Control: Basic understanding of Git (knowing how to clone, commit, and push code is a must).
- Cloud Curiosity: A theoretical understanding of what "The Cloud" is. You don't need to be an AWS expert, but you should know the difference between a server and a database.
- Any exposure to Docker or containers from a class project.
- Familiarity with GitHub Actions or any automation tool (even if just for a personal website).

- An interest in Cybersecurity or infrastructure.
- A disciplined approach to following instructions and safety protocols (crucial for a regulated environment).
- Strong troubleshooting skills, you’re the person who doesn’t give up when your code throws an error.
- A proactive self-learner mindset, with a genuine interest in continuously expanding your technical knowledge.
- Curious and enthusiastic for learning new tools, technologies, and best practices in DevOps and cloud environments.
- Openness to feedback, with the maturity to embrace it as an opportunity for growth.
- A positive, collaborative attitude and willingness to support the team while building your own skills.
