About the role
- In your role as “Systems Engineer (all genders)” you will be a central contributor to the development of our MOCVD systems, responsible for specifying and designing technical features and for creating fundamentally new concepts.
- You coordinate product specifications between the involved departments and evaluate their feasibility together with colleagues from the development teams.
- In addition, you support the team in planning tests and resolving technical issues.
- You manage product requirements for development and cost‑down projects for MOCVD systems and take technical leadership of improvement projects.
- You work in an interdisciplinary team of experts on the system architecture of new systems and are responsible for functional modeling for MOCVD and automation systems.
- You define system specifications and coordinate test plans.
- You monitor system boundaries and coordinate requirements with internal specialists and external suppliers.
- You identify technical risks at an early stage, initiate preventive measures and support failure analysis when required.
- You contribute your expertise to the validation of system and module concepts, which are calculated and tested in close cooperation with the simulation department.
Requirements
- You hold a degree in engineering or a comparable discipline at Master's or PhD level.
- You have at least 10 years of experience in the development of new, complex systems, ideally in the semiconductor industry, including the development of systems according to customer‑specific requirements.
- You are experienced in Systems Engineering and requirements management and can keep an overview even for complex systems.
- You have cross‑disciplinary technical expertise in mechatronics, software and process development and understand the interaction of these disciplines.
- You are a strong, communicative forward‑thinker, approach problems in a structured and analytical way and communicate confidently in German and English, both verbally and in writing.
