About the role

  • You are responsible for the overall program and coordinate all activities; you also lead an interdisciplinary team.
  • You interact with Directors, Vice Presidents and Product Management on an equal footing.
  • Your task is to review technical challenges against market requirements, evaluate feasibility and derive projects accordingly.
  • The Opto Materials Program covers laser, MicroLED, telecommunications and solar applications.
  • Through you, input from industry partners and universities reaches AIXTRON and is used to drive improvements; synergies within AIXTRON are identified and exploited.

Requirements

  • You have a university degree — at minimum a Bachelor’s in Engineering, Physics or Materials Science; ideally a Master’s degree or PhD.
  • You bring at least 10 years of professional experience in Opto Materials or related technology areas.
  • Ideally you have experience in Project Management and/or Program Management.
  • You are a team player and a role model for your colleagues, with prior experience in a leadership position.
  • You demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills as well as analytical, structured thinking.
  • Ideally you are business-fluent in German and English.
