About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own end-to-end program management for cross-functional data and AI governance initiatives, including sprint execution, progress tracking, and steering committee reporting.
Map dependencies across domains and align stakeholders on governance strategy, priorities, and sequencing.
Set implementation strategy for data and AI governance frameworks and assess proportionality to addressed risks.
Define and track success metrics for governance programs.
Translate governance requirements into operational processes for reducing data access risk, including access management, reviews, and technical hardening.
Run technical deep dives on access control across Okta, Databricks, and back-office tools, and set standards for new systems.
Drive requirements and design documents through development, review, and approval.
Create and maintain an AI model and use-case inventory to track legal and governance risks.
Partner with Legal to translate regulatory requirements into actionable policy and process.

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of experience, preferably with a fast-growing tech startup, top-tier strategy/management consulting, or equivalent
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills, especially with Engineering and Legal teams
Experience with data governance initiatives, including data tagging, classification, and ownership
Experience coordinating cross-functional access management initiatives
Experience reviewing access to sensitive data, identifying risks, and driving remediations
Demonstrated ability to run programs end-to-end, including sprint facilitation, dependency mapping, progress reporting, and cross-functional alignment
Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information for technical and executive audiences
Ability to identify and prioritize opportunities independently
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Preferred: experience interpreting and operationalizing regulatory requirements in financial services or payments
Preferred: experience with AI governance best practices and frameworks
Preferred: experience operationalizing privacy and AI regulations and associated certifications such as CIPP/AIGP
Preferred: familiarity with identity and access management tools such as Okta and modern data platforms such as Databricks
