Serve as the primary contact for HR inquiries, managing the ticketing system with timely, clear responses, and escalating complex issues to appropriate parties
Manage the onboarding and offboarding processes end-to-end
Maintain accurate and confidential HRIS/payroll data, personnel files, run regular audits, and process data/process changes
Support critical HR processes including benefits administration, leave of absence (LOA) management, background checks, and required compliance training/attestations
Assist with payroll processing by auditing inputs, reconciling discrepancies, and managing data changes
Coordinate US immigration and mobility cases with external counsel, tracking timelines and required documentation
Oversee daily office operations for NYC including inventory management (snacks, supplies), office cleanliness, security protocols (access), and equipment maintenance
Manage front desk responsibilities such as greeting visitors, handling deliveries, and coordinating with building management and vendors for repairs and services
Support employee engagement by assisting the Culture Committee with the coordination and execution of various events and programming
Provide general logistical and administrative support to the Workplace Experience Partner
Required to be in-office Monday through Thursday; full-time hourly non-exempt position
Requirements
1 year as an HR professional in a high-growth startup
Problem-solver with a clear bias to action, scrappy, resourceful, and outcome-driven
Have a passion for culture and team building; excited to be a culture champion
Strong sense of urgency with consistent delivery in a fast-paced setting
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally
Ability to balance many tasks at once and tackle them efficiently in an organized fashion
High attention to detail and organizational abilities
Proficiency with a startup tech stack – Slack, Zoom, Lattice, Atlassian (Jira/Confluence), Google suite, Microsoft suite (preferred)
Familiarity with various HRIS, EOR, PEO or payroll platforms (BambooHR, Sequoia, Papaya, Deel, etc.) (preferred)
Legally authorized to work in the United States (application asks for work authorization)
Ability to work in-office Monday through Thursday in New York City
