About the role
- Act as a trusted finance partner to business units, building strong relationships and influencing decision-making
- Lead month-end analysis, turning performance data into clear insights on revenue and cost drivers
- Translate numbers into meaningful stories - focusing on the “so what” and “now what”
- Partner on commercial decisions, evaluating initiatives, validating business cases, and challenging assumptions
- Support revenue growth by identifying trends, risks, and opportunities, and driving optimisation initiatives
- Own forecasting and budgeting for your business units, ensuring accountability and early risk identification
- Deliver Board-ready reporting, including variance analysis, forecasts, and stakeholder presentations
- Collaborate cross-functionally to embed financial discipline and improve decision-making
- Drive process improvements and automation to enhance the efficiency and impact of FP&A
- Build and maintain best-practice financial models and documentation to support a scalable finance function
Requirements
- CA, CPA or CIMA qualified
- Background in Big 4 or similar, with experience in a commercial or high-growth environment
- Advanced Excel and strong experience with BI tools (e.g. Tableau); exposure to planning tools like Workday Adaptive is a plus
- Proven ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and act as a true business partner
- Strong influencing skills, able to challenge thinking and navigate competing priorities
- Highly commercial, with a clear understanding of how business drivers impact revenue and cost
- Able to translate data into actionable insights - moving from analysis to real business outcomes
- Excellent communication skills, confident engaging with both C-suite and non-finance stakeholders
- Strong analytical capability, with attention to detail across large, complex data sets
- Advanced financial modelling skills, including building models from scratch
