About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Independently prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB / IFRS.
- Prepare tax returns and act as the competent point of contact for the tax authorities and auditors.
- Question existing accounting processes and digitize our workflows (e.g., implementation of new ERP modules).
- Provide professional support and guidance to junior colleagues in the team.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completed commercial training with further qualification as a certified Bilanzbuchhalter (certified balance sheet accountant) or a relevant degree with a focus on finance.
- Several years (5+ years) of professional experience in financial accounting, ideally in a dynamic environment or at an audit firm.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting and current tax law.
- Confident use of common ERP systems (especially DATEV or Microsoft Dynamics / Business Central) and very good Excel skills.
