About the role

  • Central point of contact for our clients in SAP application support with a focus on development
  • Receive, analyse and handle incident and change request support tickets and fault reports via the ticketing tool
  • Analyse technical errors in ABAP programs, interfaces, forms and enhancements
  • Contribute to the operation and analysis of extensions and integrations on the SAP Business Technology Platform
  • Implement bug fixes, adjustments and support changes
  • Close cooperation and coordination with functional consultants in the support team for analysing/debugging technical root causes
  • Ensure stable, high-quality operational SAP support in clients’ day-to-day operations
  • Reproduce, analyse and permanently resolve errors on client systems
  • Document solutions, adjustments and technical workarounds

Requirements

  • Degree in (Business) Computer Science, Business Administration or a comparable IT qualification with strong process understanding
  • Several years of experience in SAP development: ABAP, ABAP OO, ideally with a focus on SAP S/4HANA or S/4HANA Cloud
  • Experience with form technologies such as SmartForms, SAPscript or Adobe Forms, and with interface technologies such as IDoc, OData, RFC or web services
  • Experience with the SAP Business Technology Platform, particularly in the areas of extensions, integration and cloud services, is an advantage
  • Experience in SAP application support and working with ticketing tools
  • Analytical, solution-oriented and customer-focused mindset
  • Independent, structured and reliable working style
  • Team player, resilient and enjoys operational support and customer contact
  • Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
