About the role
- Lead the implementation, configuration, and support of AspenTech IP.21 historian systems.
- Oversee data collection, historization, and reporting processes across industrial environments.
- Manage and mentor a team of 3–5 engineers, ensuring delivery quality and technical alignment.
- Design and optimize SQL-based reporting solutions for operational and business use cases.
- Configure and maintain key IP.21 modules (AORA, CIM-IOs, Cloud Connect, ONE Process Explorer, Excel add-ins).
- Ensure reliable connectivity between data sources (e.g., PLCs, SCADA systems) and IP.21.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (IT/OT, Manufacturing, Engineering) to align data architecture with business needs.
- Identify and resolve system performance, data quality, and integration issues.
- Support integration with external platforms and enterprise systems.
- Establish best practices for historian governance, data modeling, and reporting standards.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience with AspenTech IP.21 historian platform.
- Strong expertise in IP.21 modules: AORA, CIM-IOs, Cloud Connect, ONE Process Explorer, and Excel add-ins.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, with a focus on reporting and data extraction.
- Proven experience in industrial data systems, including data collection, historization, and reporting.
- Experience leading or mentoring small technical teams.
- Strong understanding of OT data flows and industrial automation environments.
