About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage the Internal Research & Development (IR&D) program
  • Oversee the IR&D selection process
  • Develop financial performance metrics and reports for project-plan execution
  • Analyze business performance and market conditions to create forecasts
  • Support senior management’s tactical and strategic decisions through detailed financial reports
  • Drive quality EVM metrics and variances, scheduling status, subcontractor status, EACs, and program risk/opportunity assessments
  • Provide monthly, quarterly, and semi-annual financial forecasting
  • Prepare quarterly corporate social responsibility positions and charts
  • Monitor and track program expenditures, issues, concerns, trends, and financial commitments
  • Coordinate with program and financial management personnel to ensure process alignment
  • Run project selection boards and establish project data repository structures
  • Support project cost estimates and manage project transitions to supported business units
  • Prepare, analyze, and present program-level earned value and financial performance to F&BO and Program teams
  • Communicate performance to leadership teams
  • Maintain regular and reliable full-time attendance
  • Exhibit professional behavior with internal and external business associates
  • Align daily actions with department goals and company culture

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI DoD security clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Jira, and/or Tableau
  • Aptitude to facilitate results; self-starter, process-oriented, structured problem solver
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proactive, problem-solving, cost-conscious, company-focused mindset
  • Deep knowledge of one business-management pillar: Finance, Scheduling, Contracts, or Pricing/Estimating
  • Working knowledge of the remaining business-management pillars
  • Demonstrated financial and analytical skills
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; alternatively, 1 year of professional experience with a related Master’s degree
  • Program finance experience, including monthly and quarterly program financial-status preparation and analysis
  • Experience interfacing with senior management
  • Experience creating and managing budget targets and schedule milestones
  • Experience coordinating managers, cross-functional peers, coworkers, and core company personnel in a team environment
  • Experience supporting and driving programs using agile program management
  • Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR), and IR&D regulations
  • Ability to meet stated physical requirements, including constant sitting and reaching to use computers and office equipment
