Business Development Manager
AERZEN USALead business development efforts for Aerzen USA Corporation in the industrial wastewater market. Promote and sell aeration systems and treatment plants to clients and partners in Illinois.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead business development efforts in the industrial wastewater market
- Promote and sell aeration systems (grids, blowers, controls) and STS packaged treatment plants to end-users, engineering firms, and channel partners
- Develop and execute sales strategies to grow market share in the industrial wastewater sector
- Identify, develop, and manage relationships with engineering consultants and system designers, industrial end-users, and distribution partners
- Conduct site visits, assess system requirements, and generate technical proposals
- Deliver presentations and technical discussions with consultants, operators, and decision-makers
- Manage and grow a sales pipeline using Salesforce, meeting revenue and activity targets
- Coordinate with internal engineering and project management teams to ensure smooth handoff from sale to delivery
- Work with existing installations to gather operating data and provide technical assistance
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of technical sales experience in water/wastewater, process equipment, or related industrial systems
- Demonstrated success in solution-based selling and territory development
- Strong technical knowledge of wastewater treatment processes, aeration systems, or blower technologies
- Experience managing rep networks and/or direct sales in a multi-state territory
- Excellent communication, presentation, and customer engagement skills
- Willingness to travel regionally (up to 50%)
- Strong teamwork skills
